Joining the Affiliate Program

What is the Affiliate Program?
The Twitch Affiliate program allows qualified streamers to monetize their channel. Being an Affiliate unlocks new tools to help you build your audience.
What are the requirements to join the Affiliate Program?
The requirements to join the Affiliate Program are:
  1. Reach 50 Followers.
  2. Stream for 8 hours.
  3. Stream on 7 different days.
  4. Have an average of 3 viewers.

To qualify for the Affiliate Program, you must simultaneously meet all four requirements over a 30-day period.

Congrats! Within 24-48 of completing your final requirement, you should receive an invitation to apply to the program via email, and in your Creator Dashboard.
I’m under 18, can I still sign up?

Revenue Questions

How is the subscription revenue I receive determined?
As explained in the Monetized Streamer Agreement, there are certain costs, taxes, and fees that must be accounted for before you receive subscription revenue. Before the 50/50 split between you and Twitch takes place, deductions are made from the full price of a subscription, including taxes, payment processing fees, bank fees, currency conversion fees, etc. After the split takes place, we still account for required tax withholding, which is reflected in the payout you ultimately see on your dashboard. Twitch does not set or control the rates or fees, and they vary from region to region and by each subscriber’s payment method.
For all other questions about your revenue and payout, please see our guide When Am I Getting Paid.
When will I get paid?

Starting July 2022, payout thresholds are being lowered from $100 to $50 for Affiliates. Learn more in $50 Minimum Payout Threshold.

The payout method you choose can impact the timing of your payout. In general, payouts are made 15 days after the end of the month of revenue being earned. For example, if you earn at least $50 with most payout methods or $100 with wire transfer on April 5th, the payout will be initiated 15 days after April 30th, which is May 15th. After the payout is initiated and depending upon the payout method, it may take several days for payouts to settle within your bank. Eligible payout methods for the $50 threshold include ACH/direct deposit, eCheck/local bank, PayPal, and check.

For details on payout timing, visit our help article When Do I Get Paid? for more details.

How come my payout keeps failing?
Ensure your payout information is valid. For PayPal, it is important both country information, real name and PayPal email account matches information provided to PayPal directly.

Are there any payout threshold settings?
Your channel must accrue at least $50 with most payout methods or $100 with wire transfer before each payout is eligible to be initialized.
Why am I seeing a reduction in my payout?
This could be a result of how your tax interview questionnaire was filled out. Please go back to the tax form to ensure all information is filled out properly.
